Emily and Cody James Mooney to be wed on September 6, 2008stay tuned...
I have three girls. AnnaMae, Emily Rose and Erin Elaine. They are very different from one another, but they love each other just the same. When they were little, playing dress-up was one of their favorite things to do. We still have two large tubs full of neatly folded dress-up clothes that they have saved for their little girls. My oldest AnnaMae has been married for three years already. She is the mother of two darling little ones, Gabriel (3) and Gwendolyn (8 mo). She still loves playing dress-up and studies costume design just for fun. Emily, my middle daughter just got engaged to her highschool sweetheart and is getting married in September. Erin, is in her senior year of highschool and is excited to have a chance of life off our mountain. The reason for this blog is that I can't believe Emily (the one in the wedding dress) is getting married! Time goes by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday that these three girls were dressing up and pretending that they were grown up girls. Now they are... It is a blessing to be able to be proud of your daughters at this stage in life. I love them all very much, but more than that, I LIKE them. I love our conversations about God, husbands, being a mom, dating, friends and life. They are my dear friends and I can't imagine life without them. This weekend, AnnaMae and I are traveling to Simi Valley where Emily lives to go wedding dress shopping. Emily will undoubtedlly try on many beautiful gowns before she finds the" right" one. I look forward to sitting back and watching the "ultimate dress-up day." It's the day she has been waiting for all her life, and I get to be there. I can't believe we're here already, what fun!
Tonight my sweet husband came home with a beautiful bunch of Redbud stems just for me. I always admire them along the road this time of year as we travel up the mountain to our home. I felt so loved that he would think of me and take the time to stop and cut them. They are proudly displayed on our coffee table for all to enjoy. There is something magical about having blossoms in the house.
My children have been wanting me to do a blog for some time now, so I figured the only way I would do it, is if I had a handy pretty space to do it in. I salvaged this desk from our upstairs craft room and painted it black. My husband Jeff bought me a new printer as well, which has been so fun to use. It actually prints, unlike our old one!
